Everything happens for a reason

I was retrenched last friday. Due to this global economy crisis, I became a victim of this cost-cutting exercise.
The way they handled it is Cruel, especially when they retrenched me just 1 month after my maternity leave.

This really affects me alot. Especially when I have made significant contributions in setting up the marketing department and turning down offers from competitors to show my 'loyalty' to the company. Yet at times like this,,foreigners are the first one to go,since they are higher paid and not protected by the labour law.
I'm conscious-free as my full dedication to work has earned me a good reputation in the industry. Alot of friends in the industry showed me support and started to link me up with their companies and headhunters.

Everything happens for a reason.

Maybe it is GOD telling me that I need to spend time with my kids. I have been working non-stop for the past 10 years. As a working mother, I have never really spend quality time with LeLe. Now that Meranda is born, I should not miss her little growing up phases.

Maybe it is GOD telling me that since I already do not find satisfaction in my job, it is time for me to seek new challenges elsewhere.

Maybe it is GOD telling me that I should seriously reflect what interests me in life, and not just work for the sake of having better pay and better title.

Maybe it is GOD telling me that I should start learning how to cook for the family.....

Whatever the reason, I know that I am a survivor.
I have been through dark patches in 2001 before.
At least now I do not really have to worry much about finances and am blessed with a supportive hubby, adorable kids and family love.

With GOD's enlightenment, I shall find the reason...

Yup ... Everything happens for a reason ... Whenever something's taken away from you, something better's waiting for you to reach for it ... Without putting things behind, you'll never see what's in front of you ...

All the best in the next chapter of your life!

hey hey, cheer up and hang in there :)
I'm sure you'll be able to find something better sooner than you can imagine. So in the meantime, chill and enjoy the much-deserved break.
